About
Wenchao Ding is a robotics researcher whose work spans autonomous aerial navigation, dense 3D mapping, and safe autonomous driving. A central theme across their contributions is enabling robots to perceive and operate intelligently in complex, unknown environments. Ding pioneered the use of dual-fisheye cameras for omnidirectional perception on aerial robots, directly addressing the critical safety requirement for autonomous flight (40 citations).
