Takakatsu Isozumi is a pioneering figure in humanoid robotics, best known for his foundational contributions to the development of the HRP-2 platform. His research focuses on bipedal locomotion, human-robot cooperation, and the mechanical design of life-size humanoid robots. Isozumi’s most influential work, the 2004 paper “Humanoid robot HRP-2,” has garnered over 750 citations, establishing the HRP-2 as a benchmark platform for the field.
