About
Yutaro Fukase is a pioneering figure in humanoid robotics, best known for his foundational work on cooperative human-robot interaction and the development of the HRP (Humanoid Robotics Project) platform. His 2004 paper, "Cooperative works by a human and a humanoid robot" (142 citations), demonstrated a landmark achievement: enabling a bipedal HRP-2P robot to locate objects via stereo vision and carry them collaboratively with a human through natural aural interfaces.
