Natthapol Sriratanasak is a pioneering roboticist whose research pushes the boundaries of soft and continuum robotics for extreme environment exploration. His work centers on two transformative areas: cooperative continuum robots and multimodal soft robotic systems. In his highly cited 2021 study, Sriratanasak introduced a paradigm for enhancing individual continuum arms by reconfiguring them into a parallel manipulator—a breakthrough that dramatically improves stiffness and payload capacity for in-situ inspection tasks in cluttered, narrow passages where conventional robots cannot operate.
