Terumasa Narukawa is a leading researcher in the field of bipedal robotics, with a core focus on passive dynamic walking and energy-efficient locomotion. His major contributions center on bridging the gap between purely passive walkers—which rely on gravity to descend slopes—and active robots capable of stable, level-ground walking.
