About
Luigi Manfredi is a pioneering roboticist whose research spans bioinspired underwater robotics, soft medical devices, and intelligent control systems. His work is distinguished by a deep integration of biological principles with engineering design, creating robots that mimic natural locomotion and perception. Manfredi led the EU-funded CoCoRo project, which developed self-aware heterogeneous underwater swarms for environmental monitoring and search, a landmark contribution cited over 100 times.
