Benson Limketkai is a robotics researcher whose work has fundamentally advanced the fields of multi-robot exploration, distributed mapping, and mobile robot navigation. His most significant contributions center on enabling teams of robots to collaboratively and efficiently map unknown environments — a challenge previously hampered by the assumption that robots must know their relative positions in advance.
