Sadamu Ohteru is a pioneering figure in robotics, best known for his foundational work in humanoid and bipedal locomotion systems. His research spans key areas including musical robotics, vision-guided walking, and the integration of traditional arts with virtual reality. Ohteru’s most notable contribution is the development of the WABOT-2, the world’s first robot musician, which could play a keyboard and converse with humans.
