Dennis Fowler is a pioneering biomedical engineer and surgeon-scientist whose career has centered on the design and development of robotic systems for minimally invasive surgery. He is best known for his foundational work on the Insertable Robotic Effectors Platform (IREP), a compact, deployable robotic system engineered to address the distinct challenges of single-port access surgery (SPAS).
