Akio Inoue is a pioneering researcher in the field of robotic rehabilitation engineering, with a particular focus on upper limb recovery systems for stroke patients, elderly individuals, and those with motor impairments. His most significant contributions center on the development of sophisticated mechatronic systems that integrate robotics and virtual reality to transform traditional physical therapy into quantifiable, repeatable, and more effective treatment protocols.
