About
Ushio Ryu is a pioneering researcher in rehabilitation robotics, whose work sits at the intersection of mechanical engineering, human-computer interaction, and clinical medicine. His career has been defined by a sustained focus on developing advanced robotic systems for upper limb rehabilitation, combining electrorheological (ER) actuator technology with virtual reality to create innovative therapeutic tools for elderly patients and stroke survivors.
