A. Caffaz is a leading roboticist whose work bridges the gap between dexterous manipulation and autonomous underwater systems. His early career was defined by the **DIST-Hand dextrous gripper** (85 citations), a groundbreaking 16-degree-of-freedom, tendon-driven hand that became a benchmark for grasping control and tele-manipulation research.
