Witaya Wannasuphoprasit is a pioneering roboticist whose career has centered on human-robot collaboration, collaborative robot architecture, and physical human-robot interaction. He is perhaps best known as one of the foundational contributors to the concept of the "cobot" — the collaborative robot — a paradigm-shifting idea introduced in the mid-1990s that reimagined how robots could work safely alongside human operators rather than in isolation from them.
