Pisak Chermprayong is a pioneering roboticist whose work sits at the intersection of aerial robotics, additive manufacturing, and bioinspired design. He is best known for leading the world’s first demonstration of aerial additive manufacturing (3D printing) using multiple autonomous drones—a breakthrough published in *Nature* (2022), which has already garnered 238 citations. This work, conducted at Imperial College London, showed how cooperating drones could build and repair structures in flight, opening new possibilities for construction in inaccessible or hazardous environments. Chermprayong also made significant contributions to drone safety and versatility.
