Shitij Kumar is a leading researcher in human-robot collaboration (HRC) and industrial robotics, with a focus on making robots safer and more adaptive in shared workspaces. His work centers on three key pillars: awareness, intelligence, and compliance—enabling robots to perceive human presence, adjust behavior in real time, and operate safely alongside people.
