Evolutionary Swarm Robotics: A Methodological Approach For Task and Path Planning

摘要

The use of robots is increasing in a variety of industries, and it is expected that their presence will become as prevalent as computer technology in the coming years to improve our daily lives. The focus of this research is on coordinating the movements and tasks of multiple robots in different environments with obstacles. To achieve this, a new algorithm called Dynamic Distributed Double Guided Particle Swarm Optimization (D<sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">3</sup>GPSO) was proposed to group and assign robots’ tasks and to find collision-free paths for each robot in the environment. The effectiveness of this algorithm was demonstrated through experiments and the results were found to be significant.
