Raafat Shalaby is a robotics researcher whose work bridges multi-robot systems, rehabilitation engineering, and artificial intelligence. His most impactful contribution is a proof-of-concept centralized Multi-Robot System (MRS) for COVID-19 field hospitals, integrating a hexapod walker and wheeled mobile robot for autonomous navigation and SLAM—a timely innovation that has garnered 30 citations.
