About
Piotr Mirowski is a versatile researcher whose work spans indoor localization, robot navigation, reinforcement learning, and — more recently — the intersection of artificial intelligence and creative performance. Early in his career, Mirowski made significant contributions to wireless positioning systems, developing probabilistic approaches to radio-frequency fingerprinting that enabled accurate indoor localization without costly manual surveying infrastructure, work that attracted considerable attention with 67 citations for his 2014 paper on probabilistic RF localization and spawning a series of studies on autonomous RF surveying robots and optimal signal map construction.
