About
Munenori Uemura is a pioneering robotic surgeon and researcher whose work spans the development of novel surgical robots, intelligent training systems, and artificial intelligence for minimally invasive procedures. He is best known for his contributions to single-port surgery (SPS) robotic systems, where he developed a master-slave platform with six-degrees-of-freedom tool manipulators and dynamic vision field control—a breakthrough that addressed the critical challenges of instrument collision and limited visualization in SPS (58 citations).
