About
Moh. Khairudin is an Indonesian robotics and control systems researcher whose work spans flexible manipulator dynamics, intelligent control, and autonomous mobile robotics. He has made significant contributions to the modeling and control of flexible link robot manipulators, most notably through his development of robust Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) and neural network-based PID control strategies to address the inherent challenges of nonlinearity, vibration, and parametric uncertainty in flexible robotic systems. His foundational dynamic modeling work — employing Lagrangian techniques, Euler-Bernoulli beam theory, and Assumed Mode Methods — has attracted over 100 citations across multiple publications, with his 2011 LQR paper alone accumulating 58 citations, underscoring its lasting influence in the field. Beyond manipulator research, Khairudin has expanded into mobile robotics, developing fuzzy logic-based obstacle avoidance systems (36 citations) and intelligent floor-cleaning robots, demonstrating a broad applied robotics vision. His work also encompasses vision-based object tracking, internet-networked PID control, and robotics education, where he has applied the Delphi method to advance robotic learning frameworks in tertiary institutions. Collectively, his research reflects a career dedicated to bridging theoretical control design with practical, intelligent robotic applications.
