About
Hochul Hwang is a robotics researcher whose work spans two compelling and complementary domains: humanoid robot control and assistive robotics for blind and low-vision (BLV) individuals. Early in his career, Hwang made significant contributions to whole-body control of humanoid robots, developing computationally robust and efficient prioritized controllers that incorporate centroidal momentum dynamics and contact constraints — work that has garnered over 40 citations and remains influential in legged robotics research.
