Edmund H. Durfee is a prominent computer scientist whose research has profoundly shaped the fields of autonomous agents, multi-agent systems, and intelligent robotics. Based at the University of Michigan, Durfee has dedicated his career to solving fundamental challenges in how autonomous systems reason, plan, and coordinate — both with and without explicit communication.
