Roselito E. Tolentino is a robotics researcher specializing in human-robot interaction, telepresence, and biomimetic control systems. His work focuses on developing intuitive, non-traditional interfaces that allow robots to mimic human movements, with applications ranging from bomb disposal to assistive and medical robotics. In his most-cited work (9 citations), Tolentino pioneered the use of a Microsoft Kinect sensor for controlling bomb disposal robots, demonstrating that gesture-based control can be faster and more intuitive than conventional joystick methods.
