Current Research and Development of the Robot Direct-Drive Technology

Abstract

A summary of the robot direct-drive technology since 1980's is presented in this paper. Classifications and illustrations are included. By analyzing the performance and the existing problems of the known di rect-drive robots, this paper points out that, in order to improve the performance of direct drive robots, some valuable topics are worth of being researched into in the future.
