摘要

This paper presents a novel approach to Supernumerary Robotic Limbs for people who are visually impaired. Blind people can distinguish the objects based on their structure, but not color. Our main objective is to help blind people in picking up their objects based on their color semi-autonomously. These objects include our daily need items which are usually cylindrical or cubical. Also, it is kinematically independent of the human skeletal structure making it operable for different users. Furthermore, the use of canes to determine the presence of obstacles around the person will not be affected using our well-structured Supernumerary Robotic Limbs. The experimentation of these limbs is made for water bottles of different colors, which can further be implemented on the same arm for different articles.
