摘要
This paper is written using function between signal strength profile and distance from the wireless Ethernet access point. Localization is the one of the fundamental problem in mobile robotics. In recognizing problem, it is important that know where I am. The IEEE 802.11b wireless Ethernet card is a useful device for this purpose and mobile devices already employing wireless Ethernet for communication purposes, through measuring the signal strength of incoming packets. The chief difficulty in localization with wireless Ethernet is predicting signal strength. As a sensor, RF signal strength measured indoors is non-linear with distance and has non-Gaussian noise resulting for multi-path effects and environmental effects such as building geometry, traffic and atmospheric conditions. Fortunately, signal profiles for points that are close in space tend to remain approximately the same since the indoor channel's structure does not change appreciably over short distances. Given the environment map and the positions of wireless Ethernet base stations, the mobile robot navigates the space where experiments take place to log signal profiles from base stations at various points. For location estimation, we apply our probability rule made by average and deviation of the accumulated RSSI data to WLAN applicable to a mobile station and create some sectors based on a building map and distinguish each sector by RSSI. Finally, we make the profiles of signal strength for points and used that. This paper is written using function between signal strength profile and distances from the wireless Ethernet point.
