About

Xiaoxue Bi is a rising leader in flexible electronics and intelligent sensing, whose work is redefining how wearable devices perceive and interact with their environment. Her research centers on the design of high-performance tactile and pressure sensors, tackling the fundamental challenge of creating devices that are both exquisitely sensitive and mechanically robust. Bi’s major contributions include pioneering a perpendicularly assembled nanofiber architecture for piezoresistive sensors, achieving a wide measurement range without sacrificing comfort—a critical breakthrough for practical wearables. She has also engineered a novel flexible electromagnetic tactile sensor using double-layer MEMS coils and a tilted magnetic column array, enabling the discrimination of complex, multi-directional mechanical stimuli.
