About

Haobin Wang is a pioneering researcher at the intersection of soft robotics, flexible electronics, and biomimetic sensing. His work focuses on developing intelligent materials and devices that emulate biological sensory systems, with particular emphasis on energy harvesting, electronic skin, and artificial nociceptors. Wang’s most cited paper, “3D Temporary‐Magnetized Soft Robotic Structures for Enhanced Energy Harvesting” (2021, 52 citations), introduces a novel approach to creating multifunctional magnetic materials that combine actuation and sensing capabilities for energy-efficient soft robotics. He further advanced the field of electronic skin with a flexible pain sensor based on PDMS-AgNWs (2020), enabling biomimetic pain perception, and developed a self-powered transparent stretchable 3D motion sensor (2019) that independently detects contact trajectory, pressure, and velocity. His most recent work (2024) explores optoelectronic transistors using InSe/MoS₂ heterostructures for multimodal nociceptors, capable of responding to visual, mechanical, and thermal stimuli. With a growing citation impact, Wang’s innovations are driving the next generation of soft robotics, wearable electronics, and medical rehabilitation devices, positioning him as a rising leader in bioinspired intelligent systems.
