About

Benjamin Szewczyk is a biomedical engineer whose research advances the frontiers of minimally invasive surgical robotics and image-guided therapy. His work spans three interconnected domains: endoscopic capsule robots, MRI-compatible stereotactic neurosurgery, and thermal ablation monitoring. In his most-cited work, Szewczyk pioneered the concept of reconfigurable modular assembly for endoscopic capsule robots, addressing the fundamental size limitations of ingestible devices for gastrointestinal imaging (16 citations).
