Sanjana Srivastava is a leading researcher in embodied AI and robotic simulation, whose work has fundamentally shaped how robots learn to interact with human environments. She is best known as the creator of the iGibson simulation platform, which has become a cornerstone for developing interactive household robotics. Her seminal paper, "iGibson 1.0: A Simulation Environment for Interactive Tasks in Large Realistic Scenes" (2021), has amassed over 130 citations and introduced 15 fully interactive, real-world replica homes with 108 rooms—a leap forward from the simplistic environments that dominated the field.
