About
Dr. Masashi Inui is a pioneering urologic surgeon whose work sits at the intersection of robotic surgery, transplantation, and oncology. His most significant contributions involve adapting advanced robotic techniques for complex, high-stakes procedures in challenging patient populations. Notably, he performed the first robotic renal autotransplantation outside of North America, a landmark case for a 38-year-old woman with ureteral stenosis and suspected ureteropelvic junction obstruction. This work, cited 16 times, demonstrated the feasibility of robotic dissection in desmoplastic tissue.
