Abstract
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is used by enterprises to enhance their process efficiency. RPA shows a high cost-performance ratio. RPA applications are based on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning technology to enhance their feasibility and scalability. Software users usually create “software robots” that can learn and mimic human operations to execute rule-based business processes. RPA automation allows users to build such robots by observing human digital actions. Robots can access web data, copy and paste, perform data calculations, open and move files, parse emails, log in to programs, connect to APIs, and extract unstructured data. Moreover, since robots can adapt to any computer interface or workflow, automation can be achieved without changing business systems, applications, or existing processes. RPA can be used to enhance most human tasks in which the specified information system (IS) needs to be designed under insufficient manpower. The cost and expense of the development of IS and the update cost for rapid and frequent requirements are high. Thus, we built a better solution for automated data collection and analysis. In the solution, abnormal data was detected in real-time and sent to the user, improving the quality of data collection. The solution allowed for applications as proof of concept (PoC) by commercial RPA by collecting Particulate Matter Open Data. RPA technology was used to collect data from the platform and determine whether the data matched the criteria of an API to send Short Message Service (SMS) to notify users.
