Abstract

This paper discusses the emotional learning for natural communication of a partner robot. The robot should communicate with a human according to the facing environment. In this paper, we propose a perceptual system based on the emotional model. The emotional model updates the emotional states according to the sensed environmental information and human reactions. Next, we propose a learning method based on the emotional model. Finally, we show several experimental results of the communication and the emotional learning between the partner robot and the human.
