Abstract

Current medical conditions in hospitals do not have specialist or senior doctors available all the time for monitoring the inpatients and prescribing their treatment. Telepresence is a set of technologies that allows a person to be remotely present anywhere over the globe irrespective of his physical true location. That remote presence is achieved by various different means. "Telemedical Assistant" is a Mobile Telepresence Robot designed specifically for Medical Applications and to minimize medical errors in hospitals. Among its numerous other features like Medicine Scheduling and Recording the Vitals, It will allow remote doctor-to-patient consults, ensuring that the physician is in the right place at the right time and has access to the necessary clinical information to take immediate action. The core concept of this project is to provide effective, more economical, timely, and quality medical care to patients and to minimize human causalities caused due to unavailability of specialist doctors, caretakers, or due to incompetent staff.
