摘要
Refillable drinking water depots are one of the people's choices when solving drinking water problems. Water can be drunk directly and does not need to be boiled, making it practical. There are shortcomings in refilling drinking water at nearby water depots, such as the process of filling water gallons, which is still done manually by the operator by visually observing the water level in the gallon, and the process of capping water gallons, which is also done manually by the operator. This problem can cause the filling and capping of the water gallon to be incomplete if the operator makes an error. This research aims to design a prototype of the filling and capping process at a refillable drinking water depot based on a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and using a robotic arm to move empty gallons onto a conveyor. Photoelectric sensors detect the presence of gallons, which automatically transfer to each process using a conveyor. The prototype created is expected to do the filling and capping refill drinking water gallons automatically. The design results show that the prototype runs well as expected, with an average time for the automatic filling and capping process of 57,40 seconds.
