Zhouyue Lei is a materials scientist and polymer chemist whose research sits at the dynamic intersection of bioinspired materials, soft robotics, and wearable sensing technologies. With a career defined by creative mimicry of biological systems, Lei has made landmark contributions to the design of hydrogels, ionogels, and supramolecular materials that replicate the mechanical sophistication and sensory intelligence of human skin.
