Taro Maeda is a pioneering roboticist whose research has fundamentally shaped the fields of telexistence, wearable robotics, and human-robot interaction. His most influential contribution is the development of the **Parasitic Humanoid (PH)**—a wearable anthropomorphic robot that samples, models, and assists nonverbal human behavior.
