Dr. Srinivas Samavedi is a leading urologic surgeon and researcher whose work has fundamentally advanced the field of robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) for prostate cancer. His research centers on optimizing surgical techniques to improve perioperative safety, functional recovery, and oncologic control. Dr. Samavedi’s major contributions include landmark studies demonstrating the safety and efficacy of RARP in complex patient populations, such as the morbidly obese, the elderly, and those undergoing salvage procedures after failed primary therapy. With over 218 citations, his seminal 2008 paper on perioperative outcomes in 1,500 RARP cases established critical benchmarks for the field.
