Maki Sugimoto is a pioneering surgical innovator whose research sits at the intersection of minimally invasive surgery, image-guided navigation, and immersive visualization technologies. Best known for advancing robot-assisted surgical techniques, Sugimoto has made landmark contributions in integrating three-dimensional imaging and augmented reality into the operating room.
