Long-Biao Huang is at the forefront of soft robotics and intelligent sensing, pioneering materials that blur the line between living tissue and machine. His research centers on self-healing, stretchable electronics, 4D-printed energy harvesters, and biomimetic adhesives—creating sensors that are not only flexible but can repair themselves after damage. His most influential work, a 2023 study on “Soft Robotic‐Adapted Multimodal Sensors” (83 citations), introduced entirely intrinsic self-healing cross-linked networks, enabling robots to monitor their own motions with unprecedented durability.
