About
Jinsen Shi is a leading atmospheric scientist whose research focuses on the vertical distribution, optical properties, and microphysical characteristics of aerosols, with a particular emphasis on the complex aerosol environments of China and the Himalayas. His most cited work, “Aerosol vertical distribution and optical properties over China from long-term satellite and ground-based remote sensing” (2017, 154 citations), provides a foundational understanding of how aerosols vary spatially and seasonally across China using CALIOP lidar and AERONET data.
