About

James G. Bellingham is a pioneering figure in marine and extreme-environment robotics, whose work has fundamentally advanced our ability to explore the world’s most inaccessible frontiers. His research centers on autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), coordinated multi-robot systems, and the development of robots capable of operating in remote and hostile environments—from the deep ocean to outer space.
