About
Ivan Labat is a pioneer in the development of high-throughput DNA sequencing technologies, with his most influential work centering on sequencing by hybridization (SBH). His landmark 1992 paper, "Sequencing by hybridization: Towards an automated sequencing of one million M13 clones arrayed on membranes," introduced a practical, scalable variant of SBH capable of processing up to 100 million base pairs per year.
