Harm H.E. van Melick is a leading urological surgeon and researcher whose work is reshaping the surgical management of prostate and bladder cancers. His research centers on precision oncology, surgical outcomes, and the integration of advanced imaging and artificial intelligence into clinical decision-making. Van Melick has made landmark contributions to prostate cancer staging, demonstrating that multiparametric MRI should replace digital rectal examination for local staging and risk classification (57 citations).
