About
Guangcheng Luo is a clinician-researcher whose work bridges radiation oncology and surgical pathology, with a focus on improving treatment precision and documenting rare disease presentations. In radiation oncology, Luo contributed to early advancements in stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) by evaluating patient setup accuracy and immobilization errors during lung, spine, and liver treatments. Their 2011 study, which examined the use of a Body Fix with dual vacuum immobilization combined with a robotic couch, provided foundational insights into minimizing geometric uncertainties during SBRT delivery—a critical factor for enhancing tumor targeting while sparing healthy tissue.
