About
Christopher C. Wilson is at the forefront of bioengineering and robotic surgery, pioneering the convergence of regenerative medicine and minimally invasive cardiac intervention. His research centers on developing transplantable bioengineered cardiac patches and the robotic instrumentation required to deliver them without open-heart surgery. In his landmark 2022 study, Wilson introduced the first proof-of-concept designs for cardiac patch transplantation instruments tailored for robotic minimally invasive surgery, validated in a porcine cadaver model.
