About
Yousef Bahramzadeh is a leading researcher in the fields of soft robotics, ionic polymer–metal composites (IPMCs), and mobile robot dynamics. His most impactful work, the highly cited review “A Review of Ionic Polymeric Soft Actuators and Sensors” (180 citations), established him as a key voice in soft biomimetic materials, exploring their use as artificial muscles, soft transducers, and energy harvesters. Bahramzadeh has made significant contributions to minimally invasive surgical robotics, designing IPMC-based dexterous manipulators and tactile sensors for robotic surgery, as well as a miniaturized five-fingered robotic hand.
