I. Slutsker is a leading atmospheric scientist whose career has been defined by foundational contributions to aerosol remote sensing and the characterization of atmospheric particles. Working primarily within the framework of the Aerosol Robotic Network (AERONET), Slutsker has helped shape how researchers worldwide measure, retrieve, and quality-control aerosol optical properties using ground-based Sun-sky radiometers.
