Abstract
Our project introduces a better solution in the quest for efficient floor cleaning: a Bluetooth-controlled floor cleaning robot, moving beyond the hand-operated sanitation methods of the past, our robot embodies a fusion of mechanical ingenuity and electronic sophistication. Imagine a sleek, agile robot equipped with a sweeping brush, mop arm, and duster arm, all harmoniously orchestrated through a user-friendly smartphone app. This paper documents our journey in conceptualizing, crafting, and validating this marvel of modern technology. At its core, our robot boasts formidable BLDC motors, enabling seamless navigation across various floor surfaces with remarkable precision. The front-mounted sweeping brush diligently gathers dust and debris, channeling them towards a concealed dust collector for efficient disposal. Meanwhile, the duster arm delicately attends to elevated surfaces, leaving no corner untouched. But the innovation doesn’t stop there. Positioned at the back, the mop arm, coupled with a water tank, ensures thorough wet mopping, enhancing the robot’s cleaning capabilities. Inside, an Arduino Mega microcontroller serves as the brain, orchestrating every movement with finesse. Bluetooth connectivity further elevates user interaction, allowing seamless control via a custom MIT App Builder application. Our robot isn’t just a cleaning tool; it’s a game-changer. Equally proficient in both indoor and outdoor settings, it promises to transform floor maintenance with its unmatched efficiency and user-centric design.
