Abstract

As one emerging bionic technique, the swarm robotics is a coordination and control strategy of multiple-robot systems, where a number of relatively simple robots are effectively integrated to complete sophisticated tasks while possessing characteristics of high robustness, flexibility, and low cost.Alike other electrified devices, however, the energy storage is an inevitable technique issue impeding the development of swarm robotics. Instead of improving battery technology, the wireless power transfer (WPT) can make robots harness the energy in a cordless way and then charge their batteries even in the moving situation, thus fundamentally solving the problems of short working time due to the limited battery storage. In order to fulfill the selective energy transmission mechanism and then improve the charging performance, this paper proposes an energy-encrypted contactless charging system for swarm robots.
